It's really a very good map but lacks something that I really can't put my finger on; maybe it's simplicity of some kind. Some of us as seen the replays, and knows that the map can offer some very exciting games... but not for the average player. The map needs a certain level of skill to show its maximum potential, or it won't become any memorable games.
Of the Blizzard invite competition maps, I think Hawkeye was the best one. |

The blocking minerals have a value of 500, so it really is a semi-island map at the beginning.
I have to admit that I have never played on it yet, so I can't say too much about it.

i dont like that map... to complicated and this mineral-blocking thing is lamerish
but some games had rly funny dropaction games

the block is 500 cash :P meaning the map will ALWAYS be a semi island map. who the hell wastes a cc to mine 500 minerals? :P and there definitelly are better things to mine than that when you run out in main. could aswell be rock wall there. The only funny thing about it would be that you can skip the wall and go outside. |

I don't agree SP. When you are up to 60+ supply and 2+running bases, being free in your movement is worth much more than 400 minerals. And you even get the money back after a short period of time by mining! |

As a zerg user its my 2nd or 3rd hatch that goes down to mine the block away. taking away some of the protoss air advantage. and as terran they can build 2nd cc there and then fly it out the closest base. protoss dont get shit, fuck those guys. |
