i dont think rotational symmetry works on a concept like this. its typically 1>2>3>4>1

With a rotational symmetry you should still strive for the concept to be positionally balanced even though the bases are rotated.

Why should rotational symmetrynot work? This is pretty much a supersymmetric map (xy, x and y symmetric) with the only break in symmetry that one eexpansion is connected to the middle and the other one is not. Any race on any position would wnad to go for a quick double expansion build with the only difference that Zerg would rather get the front door at first whilst Terran would rather wall in and get the backdoor. But anyways it will sooner or alter become a drop war on the hills.

freakling, what i mean is that one base has easier to contain the entrance to the adjacent main to the left with siege units on the cliff than the other has. I am mostly refering to 7 main where the nat choke actually looks tighter than the others.

This might not change the gameplay on this particoular map in itself, but it is a fundamental point to remember when trying to create a more or less balanced rotational symmetry map.

The nat entrance looks wide nough that on cannot contain some one with only some tanks on the cliff. The whole cliff and the ground beneath it are unbuildable, so no turrets...
And being contained with two gas geysers to sit on is not that bad.

Goliaths need gas, so more goliaths ==> less tanks...
Or in other words: That turrets make a push or contain easier does not mean that a lack of turrets makes it impossible...
