I really like the map BladeStorm and I was wondering if you could tell me what is wrong with it? I am a c- iccup player on protoss race. I noticed the lack of buildable terrain in the middle. Is that Z>T and P>T since turrets can't be made? Also, I noticed the 6 mineral blocks at the front door and back door expos, along with 8 mineral blocks in the main. I know that the expos are generally 9 on iccup I think? If someone wanted to fix this map what would they have to do? Also, what tilesets was it made on? I think I know of 2 versions. I know there is the gas problem where only 2 peons can mine cetain spots. Also, I know that the main should have 1 more block I think? Also, the expos should have 3 more blocks apiece? I don't think it is necessary to prevent the cc floating to the island since there is no buildable terrain. Finally, how much does it effect balance to have so much unbuildable terrain out in the middle of this map? Thank you very much in advace.
bladestorm is just too tight, to "fix" it you'd have to remake it from scratch with better proportions, sizes, and shapes for everything to fit better; the end result though would just be a really boring macro map.
when i was active, i actually planned to re-do BladeStorm, because it's a damn stylish map.
I wanted to even out the pos. imbalanced, but keep the initial concept (maybe tweak here ans there, but the minonly backyard should stay) and get rid of the straight edges. i wanted to make a curvy layout, thus rendering BladeStorm into ShapeStorm [working and map title ;)]

i found some spare time to play a few bw games and was naturally reminded of BWMN, as i realized once more how hard python sucks. ;)
