does anyone remember that game along time ago boxer vs garimto on incubus where they were on the bottom to positions. I liked that little area they were fighting in so I tried to duplicate it & do something with the top of the map

Teh one, use the bottom half of the map and delete the top please. Too much random shit and the map is unplayable as well. your mineral lines are horrendous.

try to work on One* quality map at a time and stop cranking out crap that took like half an hour.

It's not just this map, Teh One - your fundamental map making skills are just bad.

First of all, use normal mineral lines with 7-9 patches. Copy the patterns from other maps on this site.

Try using 128x128 or 128x96 for map sizes.

Spend more time on detail. Think about how your map will play. Make something YOU would want to play in a serious game. Make sure each starting position is equal. Make sure no race has a significant advantage. Look at the article section for tips on some other things, too.

it depends on how good he is at sc also, a noob is a bad map maker too unless they were once good.

Which does not mean that Boxer and co. were the best map makers. Their suggestions to maps, though, are of course to be taken serious :p
A decent knowledge of the game is important, though.

Chokes are way to big
No natural expansion
Top half is pointless right now, because games wouldn't last long enough to use them.
