like Nemesis the map got just a open middle, the only thing being "nice" on this map is that the bases are not in the corners like most of the maps T_T

zvt, no good ovy spots, too open to scout well with just lings. Expo layout is hard on zerg. For pvz, the expo layout is someone hard on p, but still hard on z. Also, p can easily use the islands.
Drops are a pain if close air distance positions.

(times of sAviOr) when GGplay won OSL, the only games sAviOr and GGplay could win for sure was python.
also terran felt like they only had the nat but nothing else, being all the other expos far away.
it was very P>T at the begening.
i remember Reach Qualified because of this map
at Python 1.1 all the weird staff was fixed and this map is not funny anymore. and terran started winning for no reason.

And I believe this map was the first python played in the starleagues, with it being replaced with 1.3, if I remember correctly.

|wow...how horror won on this map against the zerg player was more than impressive;i mean you need balls to play battlecruisers against z on this map.terrans rarely can control this map and hell,battlecruisers make you even slower than you already are + u need alot of time before you will possess them - very bold fella this horror.a ritzy rep was also the game on tau c.i never thought he will ever made it - but in the end...the reps on blue storm are worth to be watched too.altogether,very good replays that jbgooode upload.|
|Of course this is ballsy and it actually riquires your opponent to suck like mad if you actually want to win this. Ace had 5 hatches on 4 bases with amazingly low econ and mass overmins/gas when he could have had like 6 bases 10 hatches. He was facing a variation of the metal build after all, even MORE defensive than the normal metal build.|
Ace was just stumbled and didn't know what to do. With plain hydra/defiler/ling and mass expand he would have won that easily.
He even just threw away all his mutas when he saw those first valks, just wtf.

Anyways, I don't know if that was exactly the same game, but I remeber a game like that. The main difference was that most bases were already mined out in that game. With tons of expansions left zerg can easily overpower such a build, though.
