My recent goal is to attempt a balanced (4) 96x96, this is the first fairly decent thing to roll out of my editor.
My current issues are the following:
I cant put in more temple to keep tank fire away without greatly tightening the map, so any tank problems cannot be fixed, though i dont see any major ones at the moment, but i havent tested.
The sprites in the mid were an afterthought. The center one was the only intended, i threw the others ones in for the heck of it and might remove them.
Before saving i increased main minerals by 2 fields, im wondering if i should remove them.
|well, the most obvious thing is the gas issue =p|
instead of the current setup, just try a full mineral line and gas at left for all bases. Actually that may create some "tankability" issues, so I'm not sure...
a 4-player 96x96 seems a bit hard; why not a 3-player one then? =p
|It looks like a Terran could land a tank on that ledge and hit both a players main minerals, and their natural ones. Too tight. Boring layout. XY SCMDraft mirror isn't for making tonnes of 10 minute maps that are fully symmetrical, it's so you can make more complex maps than were before possible.|
