Theme Map Competition

I'm bringing to you........ This time you have to do sth REALLY special... For lots of Sc players and especially for mappers Starcraft itself isnt a game anymore... its ART! Your destination won't be to make a normal map for starcraft... Your map won't even have Start Locations!  Your mission is to express a feeling or tell a whole story with a Starcraft map... like you do with music or with pictures... Or just make sth incredible nice that gonna make me cum all over my keyboard :) for those who still didnt understand what i'm talking about here are some examples: a moteherfucking zoo, very nice done:  thats a better one, telling a real story ;((  ok, i hope you understood now :D ---------------------------------------------- General Rules ---------------------------------------------- - The thing we gonna look on won't be the map but the pic, it doesnt matter if its a 64² or just a small piece... - Pic Editing allowed ;d - Deadline for submissions is in about 2 weeks, hurry plz - Because you could do LOTS of this maps/pics, 3 maps/pics max per player GL AND HF ALL OF YOU The Winner will get my stats from ICCUP transfered to his account (if he wants to :D), i'm currently C+ but i will be B- ez till deadline ;) So one of you noobs gonna have a B- account and might tell all of his friends how f*cking amazing he is ;D |

| ok this is admin power abuse, you don't have a reason to edit my message 2 times (i left the older edits but won't accept this abuse) now you have opened your cometition, it's okay if you don't have the admin powers anymore. i didn't say anything bad/offensive, i'm sometimes sarcastic but please, act like an admin. |

| I understand what you are trying to do and I appreciate your enthusiasm but, as far as I know, to post our pictures in this web-site we have to upload them as if they were a Starcraft map. I know there are unplayable maps like "ramps" and so forth but those contain useful tools for mappers. The maps in your competition would only have pictures and if they were maps they would not be playable. Sorry if this is a bucket of cold water on you but I agree with Templar. What do other admins think? |

| Personally I don't care too much, though I'd rather it was more like, make a playable AND amazingly pretty/story telling decorative melee map, but whatever. "It's for fun" as Crackling said, so why not? Two weeks isn't terribly long, and since it's all visual it won't take long to judge, as bwm mappers are great at looking at pretty jpgs. |

This competition is better suited for a site dedicated to pretty terrain, IE the link I posted. Next would be UMS map competitions, if it weren't for a half a mb upload limit. |

| lol lancet. there is no theme map comp! i know you spend time on your picture, but there are no more pics! by the way, zerg color is the same as terran color. and een the terrans are facing the north. i know civilians are walking to get in the dropshipsor something. but tanks are supose to attack. how can zerg beat 3 norad ii only with a adrenaling+ultralisk army? it's equiped with some lurkers and i se about 6 hydralisks and about 10 death hydralisks. oh, western norad ii crushed because of the nuclear strike. but there are some wrong copy pasted tiles @12 o'clock |

| Crackling, be nice to me as I am the only one here that took your competition seriously. Testbug, the time to make comments was before the competition started. Unfortunatelly, this competition in its organization and description was badly botched. I hope Crackling does some thinking and planning instead of posting fancy pictures before he makes his next competition. As to the picture, I can't control which direction the units face, there are mutas there also plus you have to imagine some more hydra corpses, there are some medic units on the ground and the civilians are running like heck not walking. |
