Listoric	Is it possible to enter search criterias with "cross boxes" ? Like the recommended box, maybe you could sort criterias, as they are sorted now, but give multiple boxes to choose from. That way you could be even more specific in what maps you want to have.

panschk	Layout wise this would be tight yo~ And actually it could be done with reasonable effort too. So I could do it, but I'm just not motivated atm ^_^; Don't know, maybe I get motivated to make an update in the days to come.

Listoric	what about the rating system? i just ask after i ordered all maps by rating and just had to laugh because some of them have only 1 extra vote with a 10 i.e. to boost it. it's just, WE know that we don't really care about the rating system. but others might think it's a good system/feature, and wonder what maps they get to see. should we change it? or simply deactivate and see what the reactions are? if a lot people miss it, we could activate it again. just a thought.

panschk	not many people will miss it. I actually already pretty much forgot it exists. On the other hand, it does not really do harm. Many projects, software, homepage has functions noone uses. Just look at your keyboard, there are probably some strange keys you never use, so what?

Starparty	in next update, can you ad a image list in admin area so we can see what images are uploaded? its easy to forget an url :(

panschk	Hm I did some updates, but most of the stuff won't be done: Colors: I tried it, ccffff looks just horrible. List of uploaded images: I did not keep track of the uploaded files per database, they are just stored on the webserver. On some pages I saw the possibility to list all files in a directory windows-like, but when I try the same on my webserver, I get 403. Don't know if that is something I can activate or something :[ Rating system: It stays ;D Checkboxes: No real motivation right now.

Starparty	Remove the dots in the forum. When it is only 1 row for each link anyway its not needed then. Without dots there will be more room to see what topic the post was in

Listoric	Or cut down the name to 4 letters. It's just that you know it's updated somehow. panschk, i know the rating system does not hurt anyone, but it doesn't help anyone either?! so why keep it? it's more abused than used, imo.

Listoric	panschk, do you know why you can't link to bwmn from an outer forum? when i try to paste an image with [img] as it works well on other forums and pictures? But when someone tries to link to a picture here, only the http link works... well, just a question.

panschk	I did not implement any forum tags like [IMG] etc because....I don't know how to do it. I would at least have made a few smilies if I knew how to make it. Well, I really need to succeed better than last semester in my studies, so I really don't think I will be able and willing to put much effort into programming for bwmn right now :(

Listoric	I'm not talking about forum crap here. when im on bw.de, it does not display the img when i try to link it to the url given here. maybe a bw.de forum problem, thought it might relate to this page somehow.

Listoric	Oh yeah, somethin like that at least. And the GMCS does not work for maps with 196x64 i.e. Could you also shorten the names in the forum shortcuts? and widen the topics for that? from: its m...(Starparty) to: its my bir... (Star...) Something like that?

flothefreak	what about enabling the rating system only in "user-final" and "pro-" maps? those are the most important sections for the rating system. so we possibly could get to the point of rating maps that are uploaded as user-final (sotospeak without any CONCEPT-/STYLECHANGING changes that are going to be made) directly when published. This would also make the difference between user-beta and user-final more clear, for I often see maps in user-final-section that are not ready for it. (most often it's maps that are considered as final by the author, but there are many lacks of balance/beauty, which will only be found by discussing/commenting it. If a map like this is everytime rated badly, a user will remark that it should be user-beta :)) In this context, I also could imagine that you can't upload maps directly to user-final-status! Even the best mappers happen to overlook mistakes in their maps, so imo it would be wise that your map can only be uploaded as beta, and then you can only move it from there to user-final when you are sure it fits(per EDIT then). This had to be written in the upload-screen, of course, to prevent confusion of new mappers/visitors. At least s.th. you could think about.

panschk	Hum there could be maps that are already played a lot and that are only uploaded now. They are obviously final.
