ok first i've never had problems uploading maps, but i tried to update something i've made, and it didn't work... seomthing about its not being found or syntax error. so i deleted it and tried to upload it as a whole new map and it doesnt work.
I can't solve your problem either, but I think information like the following could help:
the map name and other stats you enter in the upload form, map size (bytes), and a download link for the map on some filehosting page, stuff like that.
That is, if it only happens with that one map. Have you tried uploading some other random maps?
Also, the exact error message most likely would help a lot too, I guess.
man i uploaded it and it said there was no error, but both the download and the pic didn't work
so i try to edit to put in the picture, and it said
"Warning: unlink((4)Skhadi's Temptest(n).jpg) [function.unlink]: No such file or directory in /www/htdocs/v127008/mappage/edit2.php on line 26
Warning: unlink(map_thumbnails/(4)Skhadi's Temptest(n).jpg) [function.unlink]: No such file or directory in /www/htdocs/v127008/mappage/edit2.php on line 26
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's Temptest(n).jpg', date='2009, 04, 23 00:57' WHERE mapid=3621' at line 1 has been edited" modified by Crimson)S(hadow
editing and uploading map again says the same thing, sql syntax error modified by Crimson)S(hadow
Ok, as you can see your error report led to misunderstandings ;)
I guess the problem was that you used a ' character. That apostrophy thing. It is used in html or whatever as a syntax element and messes up the code or something like that. Dunno about the details. Just avoid it on this page, especially for file upload.
