| panschk: this spam with backgammon, hotels, appartment and shit is annoying as hell. can you add a checkbox next to the "send/post message" button? one that is checked all the time when logged in, but NOT checked by default when you're guest? and then you can only post if you activate your checkbox... just write next to it "antispam-checkbox. please activate to be enabled to post." so registered users were not involved at all, but guest posters have to click on the checkbox... and those spambots won't be able to post. | ||

| Well but one could program them so that they check whatever box there is, right? Imo this is just annoying to have such a thing. Maybe someone can work on a script to make the spammers PC crash or something, that would be more fun;) | ||

| panschk: they don't write those spambots to post on your site. those are programs running, that log (dunno from where they get it) certain websites/guestbooks/blogs and just search for an input field and a "send" button to drop their ad-line. by accident, they got some of the mapthread from some cache which is why they're flooded now (it's several ads in a thread most of the time). by this check-box, the bots fail. | ||
