| Posted by:Starparty When posting a map. be sure You name the map correctly, and name the author correctly. Dont add a slight modifyed map and claim authorship for it. Specially not famous maps that we all know were made by people like Valkyrie, Rose.of.Dream or MoonGoon. That is very disrespectful to the true authors. Think about it, had it been a movie or a song which had been modifyed without permission and not given credit for, You would get sued before you had time to blink your eye. Now there are no cash profit involved in this site so its not entirely comparable. I can just say that it is extremely low manner to steal credit for something someone else made. /Starparty Edit by Panschk[FP]: I just want to add that 1) It is good to upload maps, actually I prefer if someone loads up a map and has "?" for author or puts it in the wrong categorie over that same person just not contributing at all. We can change that quite easily afterwards. It is still better to do it the right way directly of course. 2) Whenever you have a traditional map slightly changed, writing "[author], modified by [person who modified]" is best imho. I already altered HoV3 and JS3 this way. | |

| Oh I see now. All the maps that have been changed for BWCL. I never liked these changes, as I thought the original maps had their unique character, even though they might have been imbalanced. Maybe author should be "[name of original author], modified by [whoever modified the map]" instead of just LoNiC. It is good to have the maps in the database though, as they were important and much-played maps back in the days. Nowadays it seems that if any of these maps is played, it's the original version again. | ||

Because of heavy spam on the map comments, it is needed to be logged in to post. We are sorry that this has to be done because nothing else stops spam bots
