Posted by:Starparty  Entropy once again shows his great support for the mapmaking community. His last move is a dedicated forum at Gosugamers.net. The objectives are as following: 1. To promote decent and balanced maps produced in our community without ignoring inovation and creativity. 2. To give BroodwarMaps.net a loud voice here at GG.net to promote all its maps and events directly. 3. To make BroodwarMaps.net the number 1 Melee Map Making community in the west. 4. To re-create Blizzards Map of the Month for our community. I am greatly impressed with Entropys interest in our passion so lets make this forum a great one. | Of course, I like the intentions behind it. But if it is really good for BWMN, I'm not sure. If mapmaking threads will be there in future instead of here, it takes something away from BWMN actually. Of course, for general discussion gg.net forums are better suited because of a better forum system and much more users, but we won't be such an exclusive elite community neither ;) I will look in there regulary, but not as often as here of course;) | ||

| True, but our mappers already present their maps on pgtour forum as well. So, it won't take away the users from here i guess. (hopefully from pgtour... the comments are sweeet but useless :/) | ||

| still, this is the database, and as it looks now, here's a much higher amount of experienced mappers. in addition, the things we already made (mappack, blizzcon winners) speak for themselves and this site. I think it will be more like a portal leading to this page, because it will be a lot "easier" to get in touch with mapping when coming across in an interesting subforum while browsing. | ||

| The "map developers forum" is a plataform to facilitate the pormotion of BWmaps.net events @ gg.net so only a few representatives from this noble site will be invited. You guys have already a working forum and we would hate to interfere with it. Now if you guys want a GG.net forum set up specificially for your community we can also arrange that but I think it would do more harm than good for this community. | ||

Because of heavy spam on the map comments, it is needed to be logged in to post. We are sorry that this has to be done because nothing else stops spam bots
