map not big at all with 8 players, you dont have to go far to fight, if i made this 128x128 with this map it will look and feel crowded, with very narrow paths.
this equivalent of a 4 player map at 128x128,
this map is 192x128, map doest feal big when you play it full players, I do see your point

Battle.net alot people play 3vs5 or 4vs4 2vs6 with computers for fun.

actually id rather play hunters then this even though hunters sucks as a map. With this map you get the same gameplay in any spot. with hunters you have to adapt to your position(assuming your playing gamei the blizzard hunters is really retarded)

So Crusaders III is too balanced.
Hunters crap map what ever version you try.
so hunters is an exception because it unbalanced 8 player map.
red and blue share natural, in other words top of map has 1 less expo, if you where to count the money in mid top blues expo then it missing gas, any way you look at it, its crap money placemen.
Hunters gamei verions did add 1 extra patch for blu expo and move gas from middle to his expo but map still bad
