Creating a terrain and putting bases/expoes then is a bad way to make maps. To place starting locations and build a map around is no good either, actually.
A good map should be planned around a concept, ideally you are able to draw it out on paper before you start mapping.
This map imo is, sry to be so direct - nothing. | king of 8 plr maps | | | It did this technique, it works i made some maps this way in fact the more players your working with this is perfect way to make a map most of the time.
