well, I think that the use of the middle is the noobie thing in here. I must try to find something better to do with it, than those bridges >_<

haha LML, don't be so hard on yourself. Just think a little what you want to achieve on a map and you'll eventually get better things.
For example, if you want a map to be balanced just picture how battles would be in your map and how can one race abuse the other one. For 'concept' try to see the beauty of the map and what you wanted to achieve with it as a whole.
Despite what guys usually tell you here, you have enthusiasm in making maps, which i hope you don't lose, that's something quite lacking these days in SC.

I am not really into mapmaking (don't have the patience) but i think if you made the right path closer (more dangerous) and the right one bigger and more attracting, you could get a better feeling of the map. Also maybe removing the gas and make a min-only for the closer expa to the nat (because if not games would probably just end in the right part).
Anyway, my 2cents

I found something to fix that shity big bridge.
Also I made the left part smaller, but the left bridge has still the same size.

And the value of the minerals at 12 and 6 are 24 (the blocks!).
I am not 100% sure if you can build a nexus/hatch/cc at 6, but I will try it asap.
