The middle seems really small/tight because you wasted so much space on the edges.
Seems like too few expos to me.
It's neat though, I guess. Reminds me of bladestorm.

I think what nightmarjoo meant was that you should push the high ground expos towards the edges.
A map of this size definitely needs more gas. If you do not want to bring in another expansion just add geysers to the high ground expos.
