First impression: Awesome looks. One of the most beautiful maps I have ever seen.

And I have to agree with Starparty, the blocking minerals are only going to cause pathing problems, without really adding tactical value to the map, as you can leave/enter the base anyway by the ramps.
What I would do is just removing the blocking minerals, and we would be talking about a very nice 2-player map.

btw your map is protected. Why? I don't think you really need to fear people stealing your map, I have never seen that done for melee maps.
I always protect my map because other fixed my map with my agreement three times.
But, I upload not protected map file here..

I motivated by 'Detonation' and made this map.
the map is incorrectly named btw. add (n) as a suffix to the meleemaps uploaded, and (o) to the observermaps

how about having a cliff for harrassing on the 2nat gas exp?
I don't know the word 'harrassing' and '2nat'. I want you to explain it. :)
this map reminds me of korhal
and personally i think the map would benefit from moving the mineral block to the ramp leading to the expo below. since the map lacks a little in neutral expos as it is now.

this goes for the other one aswell i think
harrass = going on someone's nerves
in broodwar terms, it describes action like little attacks to kill some units/buildings and force the opponent to react.

2. gas nat expo = 2. natural expansion with gas. Click on the GMCS link to see what I think starparty means.
by the way, detonation is probably the most hated map here, so we hope your map will play better :D

Travin, I don't see a lack of neutral expos here, every player has two "natural" expansions, the rest is pretty much up for grabs.

Really without the mineral wall, this would be one of my favorite maps.

In Korea, unbalanced map like mercury, pelennor is most hated map..

In this week, I will release this map with removing block mineral.
Um.... I removed block mineral, but don't add a cliff for harras. I'm toss user, so I hate harrasing dropped lurker. :)

Are the ruins doodads (these "sun symbols") walkable?
And, might this middle path be to Teran friendly for a push?

I'd build my Turrets on the right hand side of this path, towards the enemy. So i'd have the second path ournd the middle one in secure, as well as i would not have problems setting turrets. Just a thought.

What do you think?

Ruins doodad like 'sun' walkable.

Interval between high dirt and high ruins, terran player can build turrets on the edge of the high dirt. But, middle path is wide enough to fight vs mechanic, I think.
For some reason I always get a kick out of koreans writing in english. I get a bigger kick out of people trying to dumb down their english so koreans understand.

This map definately reminds me of korhal.
I think it is 10 times better than korhal though.
Islands are great.
Map is looks great, and very balanced.

I give it a 9/10 I dont like 2 player maps.
Good map, no doubt about that. I could imagine it to provide interesting games for there are a lot of strategical possibilities.

the lack of neutral expos was when you had mineral blocking. i could easily see terran take half map then, but not now.
I added a replay of me vs LoNiC. He did not know the map and so I could sneak vultures in his nat twice, plus he did not see his gas nat :[ So not really a great game, but we both agreed this map is nice;)

no, I did not feel like that. I did not play a long TvP in my life on korhal too, always got cheese rushed there^^

I'd still say that this map gives T a bigger chance than any other race.

The expansions are hard to defend that early, i can see nice spots where to put my tank and my marines, as well as then, the race with the best efficiancy out of one base is Terra again.

The second ways to the middle path are great, but against tanks, well... i doubt they are that good to flank a Terran.

Anyway, it might work well, just speaking my thoughts atm.

Very nice map :) Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to make the 2 ramps in the middle (2 on each side) into one big ramp instead? It would make using them much easier I think..
