Doesn't sound THAT competent, does he? Imo he greatly underestimates a fairly slow push through the middle without the possibility of being flanked. Tech and counterattack are the only options.
And it's not like a terran has got less defense at home on this map than on any other.

Uhm, a slow push is a VERY bad idea. Why? Cause you will be raped by units on the cliff. Just try :P

Ever tried to siege some tanks below a cliff and float an engineering bay to see up the cliff? With the correct positioning (you can only be "cliffed" from one side, or at least the other side is rather difficult to get to early on), goons and lurks won't do much damage at from up there. Temps yes. Guards as well. But thats a good bunch of time until you get to those.

i break down the 2nd path (aka there xel nagas) as soon as possible. then i send 6-10 units every once in a while to flank there main base, and eventually go for carriers.
