zerg is way more mobile than protoss, which counts as hell in broodwar. same goes for pvt, but T can take advantage of the natural cliff.
plus, there are MASSES of gas on sattarchasm.this also helps zerg.

im talking about ppl who play other maps other than their own.. which we didnt do ... we focused on our maps.. and quite frankly yonder berries (ur map) and platform 4 (my map) are not canidates for motw.. they're not getting attention like most canidates do and thats that. playing actual canidates are different... or proving potential tactics.. which we did niether we jus played. but we'll def play more dude.. im just at college right now.

Satterchasms biggest problem are lurkers everywhere. Drop some lukers on the natural cliff, and P can't defend it with canons, which should at least be possible. If the natural is more safe against a lurkdrop for P, Z needs more efort in attacking and has a hardergoing.
I'm a P player, i talked to some people about the stats of satterchasm and i really think that the lurkers in special are _it_ on that map.
Maps should be played more often thats for sure, still we do't have the amount of players testing our maps all day long. Especially only very uncommon maps would need testing. Most of the elements in SC maps are already known, used and some are even imbalanced.
I don't have to play a map if there are cliffs at every expansion and paths are quite small. I just don't have to. I learned in 7 years that Terran WILL dominate, no matter what. Sure, some Terrans lose, so what? A map isn't balanced either if we say it's T-Ish, then play the map, and T loses all games, just because of one of thousand reasons why the T lost this game even if the map favours his race.
So, only the maps like Osom or Darinas need playtesting, after it isn't THAT obvious as on other maps. And you don't get Uberskilled players to test them out well. It's more like "ok lets play some games", "so, what do you think? what should i change, help me out!" "It's good" - wow -_-
I actually _never_ heard a comment from a player improving any of my SCBW maps after testing it, ever. Some people just play the game, not the map.
I got lost in the topic. Anyway, we actually should have a thread after each gg.net motw tourney for players and their comments. I doubt these comments are helpfull at all, just because most people don'T comment or just say "fun games, nice maps, all T-Maps, Mireille is the best proof."

gosu players on new maps = promoting newer maps and special feedback and probobly there will be extra tactics b/c of the fact they are more creative etc...
they will help.. i know a few that wuld play these maps... not all but lots
