Ok. This *Is* a question about a ums map. I am sorry to make this thread here, as this site is obviously dedicated to melee maps [love them btw], but I don't know of any other starcraft site where I could get the answer im looking for/not be banned.
I recently found a very old version of Starcraft Risk and decided to touch up on a few triggers I didn't like. Remove some things here, add some things there, that sort of thing. But when I play the game, inexplicably a trigger breaks [to give a player money]. In other versions of risk, with the same triggers basically removed/added, other inexplicable breaks occur. Not being able to take land, money pumping in non stop, etc. Now im obviously not brilliant at triggers or anything, but I do KNOW [or at least I think I know!] these should not be occurring.
So are these examples of some kind of map protection? Is there a way to crack this ancient map and actually successfully accomplish my edits? Any help would be appreciated! ^_^
the map was broken initially. But it is protected so he cant make the edits to correct it. He is basically asking how to unprotect maps, a question which any ums site most likelly would ban you for. modified by Starparty
No starparty. The map was flawed [in my opinon of course], so I wanted to release a hotfix version, and give the original guy credit. The triggers broke though, and because I couldn't explain them I thought it might be a weird map protection system. Thankes for clarifying spines, I guess I just removed something inadvertently! :O
