The shape of the map is thin, the 3rd gas has 2 entrances, and the 4th base is hard to take for zerg (compared to a 3 or 4 player map).
I kind of like it still, even though its a simple 2 player symmetry map, but its not going to be great for ZvT in particualr. But its quite attractive and cute in its own way.
The middle with all the bridges is fun.
For me the map needs to be wider though, I just prefer that for gameplay (lategame terran turtle split map is too strong otherwise).
This map unfortunately accentuates this too, because terran can take a 3rd base and a 4th base and a 5th base very easily.
And theres 8 mineral patches in the naturals which boosts terran even further! Definitely remove that.

I mean I like how the bridges look.. I'm always a guy that prefers ample space rather than choke points to be honest.. yes choke points and more give balance in a map... I won't discuss against that.. although I am one that likes big ass bridges ramps like this one, and I'll try to implement them in some of the fixes of my other maps... although right now I'm centering about the ums map I'm coming along making it better and fixing a lot of things... | JungleTerrain | | | Mains seem to be on the small side, not sure looking at the picture.
Corner expansions are somewhat hard to hold for Zerg maybe. I can see lurks used well on the bridges, vulture run-bys might be difficult to deal with. As long as Protoss can wall with 3 pylons on a bridge should be fine.
I think the spacing on the mineral only expansion and the gas expansion next to it are just too close. For Terran, this just means free expansions for no risk whatsoever. Not only that, but as Terran expands, he inches closer to the enemy base, making a Terran push harder to react to. modified by JungleTerrain | Rickv100491 | | | NOW I GET IT!!, thank you for the explanation Jungle. |
