Well I visited that site for the first time today, and it made me feel so much better about broodwarmaps.net. The only good maps I saw there were those by mappers who post on this site. Their site layout seems really confusing to me, a big comparison to this site's nice and simple layout.
Most of their maps don't have pictures and are protected, so there's no way to see if you even like the map before you play it ><
Yeah, I've been an Active member/staff there at staredit network since fall of 2004.
The melee map contest they held several days ago, the people were complaining that the winners were horrible picks/placements. And the maps they say were good or should've placed were... roflmao bad. I'm glad Yenku and valug were the judges.
SEN is more of a UMS mapping and modding community; melee mapping is verly low there...
BWMN is melee only.
Blizzforums (starcraft maps and customs development forum) is all kinds of UMS mapping, very little melee mapping (in all the time I was there just 2 or 3 melee maps), and lots of staredit-related programming.
There is some mapping community at warboards as well, but I never visited it.

I commented that, and I only meant that Chainsaw was better than divine whatever (which tbh isn't fun); and that Shine shouldn't have even been there. The guy who though Dedrater was any good was wierd =/ IMO Lovocla is MUCH better than Dedrater. The other comments there were completly stupid =/ I agree.
Nah, the UMS mappers are pretty bad too ;P There's like 5 good ones. The rest either never finish their maps, or their maps are really buggy, or the concept just isn't fun.
