|My possible contest submission.|
I had tryed a few maps, mostly on Ice, for the contest, but nothing came out well. I knew i was more comfortable on space so i went there. After a sketch in paint, i had a general idea of what i wanted to do, and although its far from perfect this is what i made.
It didnt come out exactly as i had planned, but i figure its the first good map ive made in awhile.
|dunno, i dislike backdooor expo and also think that those gas-expos in the middle are placed bad.|
map needs some more decoration in the middle :S
hm otherwise nothing special and nothing bad, a map,like ones which could be played at MSL or OSL in korea :D
|The black unbuildable squares on the high platform are ugly when they are like in your map (too much). I think it is better if you make them like in Black Hawk.|
You can make space where there is the highground maze.
|It looks nice but you should fix up the ramp-ness, it looks like Terrans would have the advantage by setting up tank above them and picking off the units exiting one by one. |
|mm I don't think this hits the theme real well. I know space is hard for this. Basicly for space, a wider selection of doodads should be used, which probably eliminates a lot of highground useage. If you want an altitude difference, you could use platform and lowplatform instead, and thus have a wider selection of doodads available. The map is pretty simple and standard so it should play solid, but for the competition you're more aiming for a theme-based map than a standard map, not that the two concepts necessarily contradict.|
