If you want to get good at mapping youre going to have to take criticism, and work really hard. I wouldn't be surprised if you gave up now ( a lot of people do ).
I suggest you look at some of the other maps on the site, and read some of bwmn's articles ( there's a link on the right. )
Now to discuss the map:
Mains are too small
No ramp betweeneen the main/nat
Straight lines ( make things ugly )
Needs better mineral lines
Gas issue ( one of the articles on the site explains it )
Not enough expansions for a 2 player map ( per player )
Easily tankable natural minerals+gas
Awkward/tightness at 2 and 10 o'clock expansions
Tank spots galore
Overall pretty unoriginal design
Doesn't seem to have a set concept modified by K_A | LasTCursE | | | first map?
Basic tips:
-Get Scm draft 2
-Get Ramp pallets from site has plenty most in my profile
-Don't make useless lines they look ugly anyways
-Optimize space for everything you put in map it dosen't have to be huge to work well..
-Look at KeSPa maps to see better mineral formations for expos/nat/mains
-Leaving a too wide highground area or lowground with no access to it by a ramp = tank spot = bad..
-Don't make stuff too tight if you can (make middle bridges larger)
