the main changes from the older version to 2.0 are that all gas and patchs are now 3000, all islands and 2nd nats have a gas geyser now, and the middle should be 100% turret-free.

i also made the nat ridges a little more similar to eachother for tanking purposes and defensive purposes, while they previously were only considered for lurker purposes.

i still suspect this map is too terran-friendly, but the strategies should be different as 3 geyser is easier for non-terrans, for instance, the islands should boost this effect potentially even more, and the naturals are weaker patchwise, probably helping cramp down the 2 base T. but the terrain, now turretless, is still very terran-like in that they can push without fear of flank pretty easy if you ask me.

#1 the rocky ground, walls, possibility to go port should all make this favor T more than "fair" maps such as luna

#3 gas issue is clearly an experiment, but remember also that the geysers and patchs are both 3000, and the mains have 9, nats 6! now.

now that it is a 2 player map, i took out the 2nd nats for the side bases.

this should be less problematic for PvT now because it will always be "across."

it's probably also a benefit that the map will solely have 2 player scouting now, meaning proxy and 4pool are less effecting the strategies, while the distances are still close enough to let in some more "legit" possibilities--more variety than "far" maps i hope.

by making it 2 player map, 2 more interesting dimensions have been made, and 1 more i can point out:

#1 scouting will typically happen on the left of the map, meaning if you "go right" you're less seen, unless they do it too. believe it or not, this happens on LT in some matchups as well but people don't notice. actually on LT sometimes one positions goes a different direction than the other so they go around eachother, which doesn't happen on this map.

#2 the extra 2nd nats that were taken out are still buildable, so there are places terran can build if they push that direction

#3 there are four islands, very atypical

At least its easier for a RvR matchup so you can know what to expect sooner.
