New 8p map, also going to be used for phantom.
Are you sure about the placement of the nats?
Not really. XD
I was actually debating what to do with them. The ramp/recource placement is odd, but im not sure how exactly i want to arrange them.
Fixed up nats, played around with terrain, added an expo.
looks cool :P
looks very nice on the picture :P
How u mean this to play? 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4?
SiaBBo you seem to think i know a lot more about balance than i do.
I make 8p maps for Phantom map play. Phantom is a UMS map setting where everyone is allied but one player is secretly the phantom and must kill all the other players, the phantom secretly gets bonus recources.
The other use of my 8p maps is Mod Night, in which were playing mods, that have their own balances, and therefore cannot be predicted for by the map.
me like. Downloaded. If i convince some friends to play it i'll upload replays (but don't expect anything worthy of watching)
edit: what is the map size?
modified by Yakkul
if played it yesturday its cool but to me it seem to big may be 192x192 will be better
I might do a smaller 8p map, but currently im trying to make one of each tileset in the 256x256 size for the phantom maps.
Perhaps after that, ill do it on the 192x192 size as well.
i will wait to see your work :) im sure it be great :PpPp~
Too messy for my taste.
Messy? Like how? Thats probably one of the oddest comments ive seen. :P
i think he means, small paths everywhere, expansions everywhere, all so small split all over a 256x256 map, just all messy. like if u take a normal map spin it around then u got this map ^^
how you make pictures
I use SCMDraft 2 0.8.0, Photogadget Free, and Paint.NET 3.10 to do all my map pictures.
And yeah, it is sort of messy but its not like an 8p map, let alone a 256 8p map is easy. I think i might try a smaller 6p map next.
i make the picture whit SCM Draft 2 then make it JPG whit Paint and then make it more lightless whit PhotoShop but its over 10 mb :S
Because you need to resize it to 768x768, which is what i use Photogadget Free for.
give me link for photogajugaj :D
ReXplorer lets you extract the map pic via the right-click menu of a map file. You can select the size of the pic there as well.
Dunno why you are modifying the brightness...
Btw, if you have Photoshop, you should not need paint at all... (I mean, wtf, Photoshop is the most powerful image manipulation software you can get your hands on without TOO much effort; the Gimp comes close) If you were using paint only that might save you some loading time, but since you aren't... Resizing is possible in Photoshopp as well. (and in paint)
I don't know Paint.net, but I'd be VERY surprised if it couldn't do the resizing as well.
