Thought I'd try out SPs Random Map Comp #1.
Anyways, here's my hand at 3p.
First time doing a 64 box.
Tried to balance as much I could.
Worked on mineral placement as suggested by Star.
Employed mineral wall concept.
Since Teal is "drop prone," I supplemented by giving him less compromising side-doors.

You should remove that mineralwall, since it contributes with nothing to the actual map.. otherwise it could be some cool trying-to-survive games here |

Every gate, hat and rax you build on this map could fairly be considered proxy =D No offense but I don't think it's possible to defend against a Zealot rush, or a 4 pool. The game won't last long enough to get to the point where any player desires to expand. |

It's a bloodbath like. Just like on bloodbath, the games should be short and hard, but I don't see too big imbalances. bb is considered a pretty balanced map, and imo I don't see any race with too big advantages here. |

I love bloodbath, so I would have to say I hate this map for trying to emulate it! Good effort though.
PsychoTemplar, just because you cant handle 4pools and and zealot rushes doesn't mean the map is imba. Its about the same distance as bloodbath. They can be stopped.
PS - I've played many long games on bloodbath, and many regular length games on it as well. Just because the map is small doesn't mean every game is 8 minutes or shorter. |
